Ever had the experience of being very busy with work you've got to get done and a kid comes and says, "I'm bored"? Well, this happened to me not too long ago, and I made this list to show that there's never any good reason to be bored...
- put away dishes
- play a game
- pick up around the house
- kick someone off the computer and do something with them
- twiddle your thumbs (or try twiddling your toes!)
- take a nap
- comtemplate the meaning of the universe
- make music
- color, draw, paint, or create art projects
- manipulate stretchy erasers
- watch a video
- pick up around the house
- do laundry
- go to the coffee shop (what's there to do down there?)
- read a book
- read books out loud
- play a board game or a card game
- meditate
- practice yoga on an exercise ball
- take a walk
- play catch
- make a list (like of things to do when you're bored)
- tickle someone
- do homework or practice reading/writing/arithmetic
- call grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, or friends
- check out new web sites
- answer the phone
- check email

- Use Google (Web, Images, Video, or Books) to search for words off the top of your head
- Count stars or raindrops or blades of grass
- identify shapes in clouds
- Play with a pet
- Try to touch your toes without bending knees
- get up and stretch legs, arms, neck, etc.

Here's a couple of suggestions from others: GotBoredom.com, and CollegeBoredom.com. What's your favorite thing to do to cure boredom?
